The Pigeon Wants a Puppy
Kia ora Room 12, today in our zoom chat we read the book 'The pigeon Wants a Puppy' by Mo Willems. It's one of Wally's favourites. I've put it up here for all the students who couldn't make it to the zoom. Enjoy

Room 12 had their first Zoom chat today. It was a lot of fun! We read the Pigeon Wants a Puppy by Mo Willems and caught up with what everyone has been doing during lock down. Not everyone could make it so we are all looking forward to a proper catch up once lock down is over!

Term 2 Home Learning
Kia ora everyone. I hope you had a great Easter weekend. Wally enjoyed eating lots of hot cross buns and easter eggs.
Term 2 is due to start tomorrow and we are encouraging everyone to try and do some learning at home if possible. I'll be posting up ideas and activities that you can do at home with your whānau.
You can also check out the home learning channel on TV2+1 which starts this Wednesday at 9am. You can find the schedule here.
Finally two home learning packs have been sent out to your home address. If you haven't received them please contact me by email: kirstym@ngaiwi.school.nz

Sala's Home Learning
The students at Nga Iwi Primary have been given access sunshine classics to practice their reading online during the lockdown. Sala has been working hard completing the activities that were set. One of the activities requires her to read the story out loud and and it will record it so Wally and I can listen to it. Here is a video of Sala reading her story. I'm so proud of all your hard work Sala.

Wally's Easter Egg
Wally has been busy over the school holidays doing a lot of sleeping! Now he is getting ready to start the school term. He was very excited to see a comment on the class blog from Demetrius:
